In the Netherlands you can expect anything in terms of weather. It is sunny and warm, a week later it feels like autumn and a bit later the temperature drops to around freezing point. In that respect we have a much harder time choosing clothes than in areas with a more constant temperature. On the other hand, it also offers you many more possibilities to present yourself in a different way. But the more clothes you have, the more closet space it takes up. So it is a matter of smart shopping and clever combinations.
The basics for the whole yearFirst of all, you could put together a kind of basic outfit that you could wear all year round. Think of timeless jeans with a shirt or sweater or a skirt with a matching blouse. Of course, the temperature remains a point of attention, because walking around with long sleeves in tropical temperatures is not ideal and in the cold winter months you do not walk around with sleeveless clothing. Tip: choose a singlet and wear a nice sweater over it when the temperatures start to drop. This way you ensure yourself of an elegant outfit for every occasion.

Stay nice and warm
Although we can enjoy months of warmth in our country, we also always have to deal with a cold period around New Year's Eve. Then you naturally want to stay warm and so it is important to arm yourself against the cold with the help of the right clothing . A good women's sweater is therefore absolutely indispensable in your wardrobe. Incidentally, there are also models with short sleeves, so when it gets a bit warmer, you can still fall back on such a garment. They are available in many different versions, so choose the fit that appeals to you most and combine the sweater with, for example, jogging pants or leggings.
Don't leave the house without a coat
The weather can change quickly, so if in doubt, never leave the house without a coat. On a warm summer day, for example, it can cool down quickly towards the evening, making it just a little too cold to walk outside without a coat. For example, you can wear a thin parka if it is not too cold, but you expect rain. If you want to look a bit tougher, you can opt for a leather jacket or a denim jacket. In the winter, it is nice to wear a coat that really protects you from the cold, such as a puffer jacket or a padded parka. Do you want to radiate a bit more luxury? Then you can consider buying a woolen coat.
The convenience of a lovely cardigan
Indoors, many people keep the temperature at a constant level. However, sometimes it can be just a little too warm or too cold in the house. With a nice cardigan within reach, you can solve that problem. You wear a cardigan when you think it is necessary, but of course also because it is a very nice piece of clothing to wear. By carefully coordinating your cardigan with the rest of your outfit, you maintain the same style and appearance. You only literally add something to it, so that you are prepared for all circumstances.
The right shoes
Your outfit isn't complete without the right pair of shoes. Of course, you have a lot of choice here too. From loafers to espadrilles and from boots to loafers, it all depends on which style appeals to you the most. Tip: always keep a pair of nice sneakers on hand!
