Be honest, are you also so 'done'? Are you - just a week into the new year - also ready for endless nothing. How about this: peace, quiet, a sultry breeze, hammock, toes in a (warmed) sea and talking about the sea - all that while you have a sea of time... Just nothing. How nice would that be?
Are you busy and stressed? When was the last time you did nothing or at least something that was pleasantly unuseful?
If you are reading this, it means that you have clicked through and that you are ready for a rest. See this as your sign and take that rest. Do something that you don't have to do or just do absolutely nothing for a while.
Here's a list of things you can do right now to calm down. Make sure the kids are a bit wobbly:
- take a long bath, there are few (relatively normal stress) things that can't be solved with a nice bath session
- treat yourself to half an hour on the couch with a book or a magazine
- take your dusty tarot cards out of the closet and draw a card of the day
- simply enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee
- take extensive care of your nails and hands
- Are you tired? Take a 20-minute power nap
- take a half hour walk in the neighborhood
