In Sweden and France you should not be surprised if, while wandering through a city, you unsuspectingly discover a parallel universe for mice. Think of miniature restaurants, record stores and pharmacies. For mice indeed. Do not you believe me? Read more soon.
The Cute Universe is a project by a collective aptly named AnonyMouse, which started creating these charming scenes in the spring of 2016.
Symbolic relationship with pedestrians
The AnonyMouse team gives the mice a symbiotic relationship with pedestrians on the street by reusing things that people throw away. This way, a champagne topper turns into a stool and a matchbox into a matching table.
It grew into something much bigger
There are currently twenty-five installations in Europe, largely inspired by the stories of Astrid Lindgren and Beatrix Potter and the films of Don Bluth and Disney. "We thought it would bring a little fun to passing pedestrians, but it grew into something much bigger. That means we now probably spend more time on each project than we initially envisioned. But that's just part of it." the pleasure." the team said.
Sharp eye for detail
The team crafts each scene with an incredibly keen eye for detail. From recreating iconic record covers to hanging mini-posters advertising mouse and rat events.
As the name suggests, the identity of the group is unknown. “We like the idea that part of the charm of our installations is that they can be done by anyone. And since we don't have a specific agenda for it, our identity is unimportant.” AnonyMouse isn't revealing any plans for upcoming installations, but you can keep up with all the adventures on the Anonymouse Instagram account .
