Happlify: the best shopping guide + blog

What a nice and hopeful book: ' Come on ' written by Pascalle Bonnier and Tess Milne. It fits very well with what we are looking for at Happlify: little happiness. This happiness book full of sunny ideas gives a new perspective on everyday things and how to get happiness out of them. It is also completely in line with our own Happlify your life book published by the same publisher (Nijgh & Van Ditmar)! We like!

Book full of DIY ideas

Coming Soon is a book about the greatness of the small. The happiness that you find around the house, in the lake around the corner and hidden between the nettles in the forest. A book full of DIY ideas for positive energy. Think of themes such as walking, swimming in open water, growing your own food, streetcombing, meditating and making things yourself.

So... are you stuck?

Do the coils of your thoughts hijack the wheel of your ship? This book provides small rituals as a guide and wisdom from Tess' British grandparents, Margaret (98) and George (102) as a compass. They survived the Great Depression of the 1930s and the Second World War, their motto is: 'In times of trouble, put the kettle on!' For Tess and Pascalle, the Dutch translation of this is 'comes well'. Two little words your mother could have said. It doesn't mean that everything will be fine, because unfortunately it isn't. But it is a strong antidote to 90% of everyday stress.

Tess Milne knew from an early age that she wanted to tell stories, and she has: in her columns for Veronica Magazine, Power Unlimited and Lonely Planet, but also on television, where she started as a VJ at TMF and then for MTV the world. flew around to interview famous artists. Veronica, RTL and the NPO followed and her documentary about the Slow Travel Movement premiered in 2021.

Pascalle Bonnier is a documentary maker and cookbook writer. In her first documentary (Mother and Grunberg, 2015) she followed Arnon Grunberg and his mother, with whom he returns to live in the house in adulthood. Her most recent film (How do I survive, 2021), selected for a Golden Calf, is about Francine Oomen.

It'll be fine

Does that make sense in this book? Comes well can be ordered at Bol.com for €25,-
