Elf on the Shelf: a great Christmas tradition to cherish

Every year when the Christmas stuff comes out of the storage room, the Elf on the Shelf fun starts again. A super fun tradition for small and big children :) Originally, the Christmas elves are Santa's curious helpers, and they have a special mission: monitoring the behavior of children during the holidays. What is the Elf on the Shelf?

Every morning, children find the elf in a new place, usually doing something they shouldn't, resulting in excitement and wonder. The history of the Elf on the Shelf

The origins of the Elf on the Shelf date back to 2005, when Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell published the book of the same name. The story, which quickly became a Christmas classic, tells of the adventures of the scout elves sent out by Santa Claus to keep an eye on children. These curious elves report to Santa Claus at night about the children's behavior.
