Happy Youtube find: the Do what you love speech by Jim Carrey

  • 2 min read

Although we like to mainly pursue an offline lifestyle with Happlify, we occasionally find something on the internet that is worth sharing. Sometimes the internet isn't such a bad place. Moreover, you often find the most wonderful things there. Take this must-see speech by Jim Carrey from 2014.

Jim is a well-known Canadian-American actor, comedian, writer and artist. He is known for his many films such as The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, Liar Liar, The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, The Grinch and Yes man. Just to name a few. He has now also been an artist for years and has a very interesting vision of life.

Do what you love

One thing is for sure: the trampled statement ' Do what you love' gets a lot of weight again in this video. In his inspiring speech, he addresses students about life, the future, and urges them to never settle for less than what you have in mind.

Fancy the uncut version? Then watch the video below with clear subtitles so that his words may sink in even better.

Three more of Jim Carrey's many striking statements

"The effect that you have on others, is the most valuable currency there is."

“I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer.”

“If you aren't in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty, or back to pain and regret.”
